Hi! Welcome to my blog and website – this has been a long time coming!
I am a mature student with the University of Derby studying a BSc in Zoology. I have waited 20 years to start this journey, I have stopped everything else I was doing in order to give this my full focus.
Well, I say full focus, I have 2 children and a partner, 4 cats and 4 birds, so my studies have to wait sometimes!
What is this all about?
I am passionate about the natural world, and I want others to find some love in it too. So, I have started this blog and a vlog series. Each week I will be venturing somewhere for a walk, this could be urban or rural, a named well known walk, or somewhere totally random!
I will be vlogging the walk so you know in advance what the walk is like, and can prepare if you decide to go.
I will also be blogging what I find. Identifying everything I can. I am NO expert! I have been super inspired by a wonderful lecturer at the University, she provides some amazing challenges that have made me get out when I would rather stay in bed. So, I hope to do the same thing for you.
When you start to notice the world around you, you wonder why you never saw it before!
I am no stranger to poor mental heath, and getting out has really help me in so many way! So, grab your sandwiches, thermos and camera, and come fall in love with nature with me xx
